Atul Arjun Mohite

SA narrator-driven psychological drama. Shawn, a fifteen-year-old boy, wakes in a mysterious residential facility for young people with mental health differences — his past wiped soft, his parents just out of reach beyond the manicured grounds. The facility's director means to "correct" their weaknesses so they can function in normal society, but the girl Shawn falls for believes people should embrace their differences instead of being fixed. Beneath the green lawns and the endless books, one question keeps growing: whether this place is genuinely helping these kids, or quietly erasing who they are.

    1. Waking

    1 min. 17 sec.

Shawn, fifteen, opens his eyes in a small, pleasant room — clean walls, a table stacked with books — after only three days asleep, when most children take weeks. Dr. Tanya, warm and unhurried, welcomes him to the Mind Care facility: her job is to make him well before school begins, without the weight of his past. Beyond the window lie green lawns and children walking sunlit paths. When he asks to see his parents, she says soon — this is his home now. And when he asks whether everyone ends up in the same place after the school, her warmth cools for just a second before she calls him a sharp one.

    2. The Girl on the Bench

    1 min. 20 sec.

A dream of his parents' warm kitchen tears apart before they can reach him, and Shawn jolts awake — the only dark window on a floor of glowing ones. Below, under a single lamp, a girl reads on a bench: Ana, fifteen, dark hair, blue eyes caught in the light. At dinner she sits across from him with a small salad and explains she's learned to control her cravings — want less, and nothing can hurt you; it's what they teach here. They walk a dim garden path, her hand finding his; he leans in, then pulls back. As a bell rings, she asks if he thinks they'll ever get out — and he promises someday.

    1 min. 10 sec.

A fist pounds the door — Shawn's late; the director is addressing them this morning. In a bare gray hall of tiered rows, Sophia enters: tall, elegant, warm, until the smile goes and the eyes sharpen. She asks who slept well; hands rise, Shawn's among them. "Stop lying," she says — then climbs the steps to stand over him, certain she can see it in his eyes. He admits he doesn't sleep, but insists he will, someday. Then she spreads her arms to the room and names the mission — a world without weakness — and her eyes lift to the back row, to Shawn, and hold.

A seemingly harmless classroom exercise forces students to reveal their deepest fears to one another. As trust becomes a weapon and every confession turns into leverage, Shawn realizes the true purpose of the assignment may be far more sinister than anyone imagined.

    5. The Rain

    1 min. 5 sec.

Shawn finds Ana alone on the bench beneath a gathering storm. She tells him the rain ties everything together — past, present, and where you're going next — because it was pouring the day she was taken from her parents. As the sky opens, she insists the streaks on her face are the rain and not tears, lifting her face into the downpour with her eyes shut and smiling, while Shawn sits soaked and silent beside her.

    1 min. 55 sec.

Feverish from the rain, Shawn is examined by Dr. Tanya, who promises to keep his name out of it — then reports straight to Sophia. On the grounds, Ana is intercepted by her own doctor, Daniel, and at the boys' hostel a guard tells her Shawn has been taken to the director in his very first week, something unheard of in ten years. Ignoring the warning that she'll be next, Ana pushes through the gates toward the vast director's building, every window dark.

Ana talks her way past the guards into the director's building and finds Shawn already there with Dr. Tanya, recovered but guarded about what happened inside. On the walk back she presses him on what was said behind that door; he shuts her down flat, insisting it doesn't matter what Sophia does. Ana holds his eyes, unconvinced.

    1 min. 27 sec.

Shawn joins Ana for dinner, mirroring her tray and asking to borrow a book, before admitting on their garden walk that he was told not to talk about the office. He reveals Sophia's real mission — a "forceful correction" to erase what makes each student different — and tells Ana he's willing to lose himself for a cleaner version. On the bench where he first saw her through his window, she kisses him, while one lit window watches from the dark building behind them.

    9. You Carry Their Legacy

    1 min. 21 sec.

Over a paired lawn exercise, Shawn confesses his mood swings — sadness with no cause, then restless overdrive — and Ana names it: bipolar. She tells him it isn't a weakness to fix, that people like him have shaped art and music for generations, and refuses to write him up for it. When Gabriel calls time, Shawn's report page stays blank while Ana's fills line after line.

    10. Warning Letters

    1 min. 9 sec.

After weeks of Ana filling her reports while Shawn leaves his blank, Gabriel and Sophia interrupt class unannounced. Sophia announces that some students have been gaming their reports with useless comments, that a list has been made, and that warning letters go out today — no names disclosed. Rain taps the glass as she and Shawn avoid each other's eyes.
