Marc Rourke, a night-shift hospital pharmacist drowning in his mother's medical debt, has been skimming small amounts of controlled substances to keep her in a care facility. When a sharp new transfer named Sofia uncovers his secret, she chooses to protect him — only to discover that Marc is a small piece of a much larger scheme run by Dr. Leonard Pace, an attending physician who has been funneling phantom drug orders through the pharmacy for years and framing night-shift pharmacists to cover his tracks. Together, Marc and Sofia race to expose Pace before he pins everything on Marc and removes Sofia from the night shift for good.
